5 Tips Make Your Restaurant’s Digital Marketing Successful
If you are in the F&B business then you may have toyed with the idea of using Digital Marketing for increasing footfalls to your restaurant and to increase your profits. The best part of Digital Marketing is that it is easy, doesn’t cost a bomb, it’s flexible and you can turn off or turn on whenever you want to.
Having said that you should make sure that every part of your hard-earned money is well-spent. In this blog I will share five tips which will help you in your Digital Marketing.
Tip #1 – Define Your Goals Well
What do you want to achieve for your restaurant? Do you have a problem of low turnout? Is your restaurant running to capacity and you now want to start franchising your brand name? Do you want to wish your customers on their birthdays and anniversaries?
Tip #2 – Choose the Right Platforms
Once your goals are defined it will be easy to choose which platforms or media are the right ones for you. For example if you have the problem of low turnouts during weekday lunch and are offering a 15% discount then you should look at digital advertising options. It could be advertising on Facebook or Google. If you are looking for franchisees, Linkedin business page and your website can be a great help.
Tip #3 – Choose At Least Two Platforms
Multiple platforms complement each other and strengthen your Digital Marketing campaign. Let me give you an example. Let’s suppose you have adopted Google Adwords to market your food festival. You need to have a landing page for those who click on advertisement which is usually your website. The other advantage of having more platforms is that in case a prospective customer has missed your website, he can find you on Facebook or on Google search.
Tip #4 – Make Sure That All Campaigns are Linked to Your Restaurant Website
Your restaurant’s website is the foundation and the centre of your marketing campaign whether it’s traditional offline marketing or Digital Marketing. No matter what you do, people will search your website for information.
Tip #5 – Look for Flexible Options
I am an admirer of Google Adwords. It provides awesome flexibility. You can choose the amount that you want to pay for each click (PPC). You can set a limit on how much you want to spend on your campaign and you can even set a daily limit. You can stop your campaign anytime that you want to.
Avoid advertising plans or vendors who take large advances and tie you down for long periods. You should be able to turn off a campaign if it’s not working and not continue to pay money. Similarly, if the campaign is successful you should be able to put more money in it.
